PARTY BANNER

It's my party and I'll put up a banner of I want to! I created this banner using my two circle punches and I must say layed together there a lot cuter than alone. I used random colors and paper because I wanted to add a little deminsion to the standard round half circles. For the string I just used some hemp string from my stash. Hope you like them. I'm looking forward to trying a different shape on my next banner.

WINE BOTTLE TIKI TORCHES

These would be great for an outdoor summer party!

You will need:

• 1 empty and cleaned wine bottle
• 1 Tiki torch wick refill (thick)
• Tiki torch citronella lamp oil
• 3/8” metal washer (or adjust washer size if bottle opening is larger/smaller)
• Decorative glass rocks or beads of your choice, small enough to fit in bottle opening (optional)

Place the decorative rocks/beads in the bottle. The more you have, the less oil you will need to use.

Feed the wick through the opening of the washer, leaving about a ¼ inch of the wick sticking out of the top. Make sure the washer fits the opening of the bottle top, it should just sit on top of the bottle opening.

**If you have gaps between the washer and the wick it might allow air in, which may cause the bottle to fill up with smoke.

Pour the oil into a bottle, using a funnel, enough to cover half of the wick. Feed the longer side of wick into the bottle. If your wick is thick enough, you don’t have to secure the washer down. Light the top wick and enjoy your new torch outdoors.

**Remember burning citronella indoors is not recommend.

SIXTH BIRTHDAY PARTY

Happy birthday to me lol well actually these photos are from 20 years ago but it's never too late to add them to my album right. Looking at them on the screen makes me want to add a little more to the page but I thought this was a cute take on the mainstream banner. I also incorporated some project life cards for journling. What do you think?

Hi guys! I’ve been searching on the web for a while now to find the best way to name picture files and have finally found it!

What everybody ought to know when naming your scanned photos by Curtis Bisel

Curtis Bisel is a genius. After reading his article I was a little embarrassed that I couldn’t come up with this concept on my own. I didn’t follow his guide exactly but adapted it to what worked for me so I just wanted to share.

There are some general rules I try to stick to for example always use sister instead of her name and always use mom or dad for my parents, me for myself and so on. Oh and always spell everything out instead of using abbreviations.
